Step 1: Check the File Requirements for Process

Step 2: Prepare Data to Export

Step 4: Open your QuickBooks Desktop
After logging out from the online version of QuickBooks Open your QuickBooks Desktop to export all the data from it. Before exporting make sure to update your QuickBooks Desktop. After that Click on Company Menu and Select the Export the Company file to QuickBooks Online.
Step 5: Sign in to QuickBooks Online Account
After completing the above export step, sign in to your QuickBooks Online Account. After signing in you will be asked if you want to export your existing inventory. Now as you choose the option to export you should know one thing i.e. QuickBooks Online works on FIFO(First In First Out)
Step 6: Select the QuickBooks Online Company

Step 7: Copy the Data File
After choosing the online company, copy all the data files there. It will take a while but after completing it will give you a notification. You just have to click “Ok”. After that, it will send a confirmation email and you will be asked to complete the Setup. After all this before working on the online version do check all your files and compare the files with the Desktop version. After that, you will get a confirmation email again. Now you have to click on the Complete your Setup form where you can log in to your account and review the data.
